The Kendal Methodist Circuit is set at the southern end of the Lake District in an area of outstanding beauty. Three churches – Stricklandgate, Fellside and Sandylands are located in Kendal which is a thriving market town. To the east are the churches at Kirkby Lonsdale and Cowan Bridge. On the coast to the south of Kendal are the churches at Arnside, Storth and Levens. As our Circuit comprises town centre, community and rural churches we place a strong emphasis on outreach into local communities. It is an exciting challenge for us to maintain a meaningful and visible Christian presence in these different and varying places. We place great importance on the pastoral care of our congregations and adherents. We recognise and value the importance of work amongst young people and families. Our ecumenical links with other denominations across the Circuit are strong, valued and increasing. Our three Circuit Ministers are supported by a team of retired Ministers and an active group of local preachers and worship leaders. The Circuit Leadership Team comprises of the three Ministers and up to five Circuit Stewards.
