September – and the start of an exciting time in the life of Kendal Methodist Circuit.
Friday 1st September saw Rev Richard Teal, District Chair, commissioning the Ministry Team; Superintendent Rev David Stretton, Rev Wendy Thornton, Rev Les Hann and Marc Jackson who is our new Local Pastor. They will be supported by Chris Palmer as Circuit Administrator.
On Sunday 3 September the Rev Wendy Thornton was commissioned as Team Vicar in the Rainbow Parish at St Mary’s Church, Kirkby Lonsdale. This is a ground breaking initiative as Wendy will be working for both the Methodist and Anglican churches in the area. The service was led by the Rt. Rev. James Newcombe, Bishop of Carlisle, and our Chair of District, Rev. Richard Teal, Circuit preached.
