The church has a lively congregation of mixed ages, with attendance of around 70 adults and 15 young people at a typical morning service. We run a varied weekly program for all ages including a lunch club, mums and toddlers and house groups.
Usually the main Sunday morning services are at 10.30am each Sunday. During Covid-19 pandemic we are meeting in St Mary’s Church, the Anglican church across the road from our Methodist church, at 9:30am. This service is a quieter, more reflective service and abides by the Covid regulations for worship currently in force.
When able, we hold a range of services in the evening, the timings of which appear on the Circuit plan.
Our services are led either by our own minister Wendy Thornton, lay preachers or guest speakers from other churches. There is no set format but services normally include at least preaching, hymns, prayers and Bible readings. Sung worship at morning services is usually introduced by one of our Worship Leaders and a music group. Complete Mission Praise is our most commonly used source of hymns and worship songs but we use many others as well.
